Disruption of Train Services to Marrakech: April 21 to 23 for High-Speed Rail Works

Train Services to Marrakech Temporarily Suspended

From April 21 to April 23, train services to Marrakech will experience significant disruptions due to ongoing high-speed rail (LGV) construction work being conducted between Kenitra and Marrakech. This announcement was made by the National Office of Railways (ONCF) through an official communiqué, highlighting the necessary adjustments to the rail schedule during this period.

During the specified dates, all train operations will cease at the Marrakech station. Instead, services will be rerouted to terminate at Sidi Brahim station, effective from April 21 at 11:00 PM until April 23 at 11:00 PM. Consequently, all arrivals and departures will occur at Sidi Brahim, which necessitates a change in travel plans for passengers intending to visit Marrakech.

To facilitate travel during this disruption, shuttle bus services will be provided between Sidi Brahim and the Marrakech station, ensuring that travelers can still reach their destinations with minimal inconvenience. It is important to note that departure times for buses from Marrakech will be adjusted to one hour earlier than usual, allowing for seamless connections to continue. Buses will also provide ample transport from Sidi Brahim to Marrakech, ensuring that travelers can maintain their schedules despite the rail changes.

Normal train operations are scheduled to resume on April 24, at which point services to and from Marrakech will return to their regular timetables. Travelers are advised to stay informed about these changes and plan accordingly to avoid any disruptions to their journeys.
