Morocco vs Niger: Crucial Matches Set for Casablanca and Rabat

Morocco to Face Niger in Key AFCON Qualifiers

The Moroccan national football team is gearing up to play two critical matches against Niger this November as part of the third and fourth rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 qualifiers. These matches will take place in two of Morocco's prominent cities: Casablanca and Rabat. The announcement was officially made by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on Sunday, marking an important moment for the Lions of the Atlas as they strive to secure their position in the upcoming tournament.

The first match is scheduled for Friday, November 13, at 20:00 GMT, and will be held at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca. The match will feature Somali referee Omar Abdelkader Artan, who will be accompanied by his countrymen Hamza Hajji Abdi and Ali Mahmoud Mohad, all appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Morocco Leads Group A

The second encounter between the two teams is set to take place on Tuesday, November 17, at the same time, but this match will occur at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. Ethiopian referee Theodoros Mitko will officiate this match, supported by assistants Vassika Piro Beholashit and Tigli Gizao Bilachi.

The Lions of the Atlas enter these matches with a strong advantage, currently sitting at the top of Group A after a successful start, having won their first two matches against Gabon and Lesotho, both with a score of 2-0. These upcoming games will provide an excellent opportunity for the national team to solidify their lead in the quest for qualification to the AFCON 2027.
