Anticipated Heatwave Across Several Regions of Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding an impending heatwave that is expected to affect various regions of Morocco from Tuesday through Friday. According to the meteorological bulletin, the heatwave will bring temperatures ranging from 42 to 45 degrees Celsius in areas such as Oued Eddahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, and Zagora. This weather pattern is designated as an 'Orange Alert' due to the potential impacts on health and daily activities.
Furthermore, starting from Wednesday until Friday, temperatures are anticipated to reach between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius in additional regions, including Marrakech, Al-Haouzia, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Béni Mellal, Taroudant, Kenitra, Sidi Qassem, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, Qalaat Saraghna, Khmissat, Fkih Ben Salah, Meknes, Khenifra, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Larache, Wazzan, Chichaoua, and Sale. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of the extreme heat.
