In a significant operation conducted by the urban judicial police in the first security district of Gueliz, authorities apprehended one of the largest hard drug dealers in the heart of the city, known by the alias "Tanjawi." This arrest took place on Thursday night at the Najd residence in the Mabrouka neighborhood, alongside two young women.
The arrest was made possible through a meticulously planned sting operation in the Najd area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Gueliz. Initial searches yielded a substantial quantity of cocaine wrapped and ready for distribution, underscoring the serious nature of the operation. Following this, police officers proceeded to the apartment of the suspect's girlfriend located on Moulay Abdal Street, near the Higher School of Commerce, where they discovered a significant stash of cocaine, along with an electronic scale typically used for weighing and dividing illicit substances.
Further investigation led authorities to the suspect's home in the Menara district, where even more cocaine was found, reinforcing the theory of his extensive involvement in distributing "white poison" throughout the city. The three individuals arrested have been placed under police custody, where they are being interrogated with formal documentation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, aimed at uncovering additional potential connections within this criminal network.
