Severe Weather Conditions Forecasted from Thursday to Sunday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding severe weather conditions expected to affect various regions of Morocco from Thursday through Sunday. This alert highlights the potential for strong winds, localized thunderstorms, and significant snowfall, particularly in elevated areas.

According to the meteorological bulletin categorized as "Orange Alert," strong wind gusts ranging from 70 to 80 km/h are anticipated in the provinces of Errachidia, Midelt, Boulemane, Figuig, Jerada, and Taourirt. These conditions are expected to persist from 10 AM on Thursday until 9 PM on the same day.

Furthermore, localized thunderstorms are anticipated with rainfall amounts ranging between 20 and 30 mm in the provinces of Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Safi, Essaouira, and Taroudant starting from 3 PM on Thursday until 3 PM on Friday.

The weather forecast also indicates the likelihood of snowfall beginning at altitudes of 1,800 meters, with accumulations predicted to be between 10 and 20 cm in the provinces of Midelt, Khénifra, Ifrane, Béni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Tinghir on Saturday and Sunday.
